Following treatment in hospital of a 20-month-old infant who had consumed cannabis chocolate, local police are reminding the public to keep dangerous substances out of the reach of children.
“Whether it be alcohol, prescribed medication or other drug, be sure these items are stored out of reach of children,” states Const. Aaron Miller, PEC OPP Community Safety Officer. “Children are curious and quick.”
On Thursday, July 20 at 4:30 p.m. OPP responded alongside Hastings Quinte Paramedic Service to the residence following the report the infant had consumed a quantity of cannabis chocolate. The child was transported to hospital for treatment.
