The Class of 2030 explored the halls of Prince Edward Collegiate Institute (PECI) this week as “Panthers for a Day”. Grade 8 students from Athol, Sophiasburgh, CML in Wellington, Kente, St. Gregs and PECI were shown Pather Pride.
“The energy-filled day allowed students to explore the rich academic and extracurricular opportunities we have at Prince Edward Collegiate Institute and to see that our community school is where their bright futures start,” said Greer Koutroulides, PECI Student Services Instructional Lead Teacher and Guidance, Student Success and Co-operative Education.
Students participated in a spirit assembly led by the Activities Council, then rotated through four stations. Students participated in a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) activity in the science lab, ink printing in the art room, built wooden holders in construction tech and helped to make their own Panther swag T-shirts.
