The CML Snider School community officially unveiled its $93,000 basketball court project Thursday in Wellington.
Schoolyard Improvement Committee members worked with the community to enhance the tarmac area for various play opportunities for the students, families and adult basketball leagues within Wellington throughout the year.
Improvements include six new basketball nets with acrylic backboards, two triple hoop basket games, new asphalt and tarmac, fresh basketball court paint to distinguish between full and half court games and the addition of new, colourful games on the primary tarmac (e.g. four square, maps, alphabet alligator).
The grand opening celebration included a barbecue and meal.
