Community ‘Crams the Cruiser’ in Food Bank fundraiser

A giving community helped the PEC OPP Auxiliary and Pierson Foodland ‘Cram the Cruiser’ with support for the Wellington and District Storehouse Foodbank on the weekend.
More than 306 grocery bags and $514.40 in donations were collected for the back to school fundraiser.
Special recognition was given to 11-year-old Ella James, who donated $40 of her own money.
The Storehouse Foodbank, open every Wednesday, is located in the basement at the Pentecostal Church at 305 Niles Street, Wellington. Donations are welcome from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and clients are welcome from 1-3 p.m. or by appointment
The food bank is now accepting snowsuits and other winter clothing items for the upcoming winter season.
