Community Food bank donations celebrate Local Food Week

With pride to live in a community that works together, the Prince Edward Federation of Agriculture marked Local Food Week, June 6-12, with a group donation to two Prince Edward County’s foodbanks. PEFA members were joined by the Ontario Federation of Agriculture and Scotiabank Wellington Branch to donate $1250 each to Picton United Church Foodbank and Wellington’s StoreHouse Foodbank. Ag members present include Resi Walt, Bob Rogers, John Thompson, Don Williams, and Bruce Walt; along with Kim Laird (Branch Manager Wellington Scotiabank) Linda Downey (Wellington’s StoreHouse Foodbank) and Seona Halsey (Picton Food Bank) and Jessica Manlow, (Branch manager, Scotia Picton).
