Community invited to sign letter of condolence to members of Quebec City Mosque

Susan Law lit a candle at St. Andrew’s Church in Picton Friday in honour of the six Canadians killed Jan. 29 at a mosque in Quebec City.

St. Andrews welcomes the public to join in signing a letter of condolence to members of the mosque.

Rev. Lynne Donovan said the church will be open Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. for people to light a candle and add their signature, or a message, as an expression of solidarity during challenging times.

Funerals were held Thursday and Friday. The suspect faces six charges of first-degree murder and five counts of attempted murder with a restricted firearm.
