Construction Association honours 2011’s outstanding projects

The Prince Edward County Construction Association honoured outstanding architectural and construction projects of 2011 at their recent annual awards night banquet. Members also supported a live auction raising more than $1,800 for the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation‘s Digital Mammography and ultrasound campaign.
Wellington’s new Pomodoro Restaurant received the Commercial Project of the Year Award (sponsored by BMO Picton) honouring the work of project co-ordinator Garry Davis.
Kyle DenOuden was honoured as contractor for the Residential Project of the Year over $300,000, (sponsored by BMO Picton) for his work on the home of BJ and Gary Campbell.
The home of Devon Jones received the Residential Award of Merit under $300,000, honouring work by project contractor Neil Thompson.
The Elizabeth Murray ‘Keeping the Heritage” Award (sponsored by the County of Prince Edward) honoured the transformation of The Manse, in Picton, under the direction of contractor Peter Morkis.

The PEC Construction Association's 2011 Commercial Project of the Year Award went to Pomodoro Restaurant owners David O'Conner, Kimberly Humby and Lynn Kennedy.
