Council would be better by half
Administrator | Dec 15, 2011 | Comments 1
The vast majority of municipal council election day voters wanted public consultation on council size and structure.
The eight councillors opposing such consultation are causing our Prince Edward County Council to completely lose credibility with County voters and with the OMB. Both had believed our council when it said it was intending to seek public input.
The self-serving behaviour of half of our council clearly demonstrates that this County would be served more democratically with a Council size of eight, not 16.
