County schools congratulate Great Place Awards recipients

Two Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board employees have been named ‘Great Place Awards’ recipients – the highest recognition within the board.
The 16th Annual Great Place Awards recognize outstanding contributions by students, employees, parents and guardians, and community partners.
Eric Caley, maintenance mechanic at Prince Edward Collegiate Institute, and Sherry Harrison, secretary at Queen Elizabeth Public School will be presented with their award at a public board meeting Tuesday, May 23 at 7 p.m. in the Education Centre, 156 Ann Street, Belleville.
The Great Place Awards Committee received 37 nominations representing employees, volunteers, students and community partners. The nomination criteria aligns with the board’s eight ‘Growing with Character’ core values: caring, cooperation, honesty, humour, integrity, respect, responsibility and trustworthiness.
