County serves Food for Learning programs with parking proceeds

Food for Learning programs in Prince Edward County were fed more than $4,000 in donations Tuesday.
Earlier today Mayor Robert Quaiff presented$4,084.20 to the Food for Learning program during a visit to Queen Elizabeth Public School.
The funds were raised during the annual Feed the Meter campaign in Picton. Each holiday season, the County joins surrounding municipalities in support of the program by handing over all funds collected in the downtown parking meters.
In the County, the program was extended to March 1 this year during the transition to the Pay and Display stations in the downtown area.
