Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital is celebrating its nurses sharing messages from County school children on the walls near the cafeteria and emergency departments of the hospital for National Nurses Week. The messages are being directed toward about 50 Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses who work at PECMH.
In answer to the question “What does a nurse do?” the posters show varied responses such as these, from students at Athol South Marysburgh School:
“We need to thank nurses for keeping us alive”
“Superheroes in Disguise”
“She makes sure you’re OK”
“Nurses Save Lives”
“Giving people shots”
“Make people feel better”
“Help baby’s get out of the Mommy’s tummy”
“Nurses put on casts”
“Nurses help people every day, so it’s our turn to help them”
