Countylicious a lip-smacking taste of spring

Celebrate Prince Edward County’s delicious culinary community this spring by reserving a seat for the ever-popular Countylicious event March 13-April 6.

Eight of the County’s finest restaurants have created locally infused dining menus specifically for Countylicious. Each meal includes a starter, entree and dessert and will feature local and seasonal products on $30 and $35 prix fixe menus. (Taxes and gratuity additional).

Taste the County hosted a kick-off event for Countylicious and Maple in the County last week at Sugarbush Vineyards highlighed by a maple bean cook-off between the chefs of Countylicious.

Matt DeMille, of Pomodoro, won the judges over and received the  “golden” bean can and spoon trophy for his bacon, sausage maple beans.

Maple in the County is March 23-24.

Bring the whole family to celebrate the labor of County maple producers with family friendly programming all weekend. New this year is the Sugar Shack Shin Dig evening being held on the historic grounds of Macaulay Heritage Park.
Guests are invited to dig out their long johns and farm boots and their best plaid jackets to join in on a maple themed meal and an evening of live entertainment.  Tickets must be purchased in advance ($20 each or $50 per family of two adults and two children under 16). Click here
