County’s cutest babies stars of Picton Fair’s opening day

The Picton Fair opens Friday at noon with childrens’ entertainer Andy Forgie warming up the Tim Hortons Baby Show contestants and families in the Curling Club for the 1 p.m. competition.
The midway opens at 4 p.m. Friday highlights include the tractor pull, the giant vegetable weigh-offs and the dairy cattle show.
Saturday’s highlights include the Western Horse Show, 4H Calf Show, Mutt Show, Celebrity Bake-Off Auction at noon in the Crystal Palace raising funds for the Picton Hospital; Draft Horse and Beef Cattle shows, the Steer Show and Sale; the Picton Rising Star showcase of talent in the Curling Club at 2 p.m, the heavy horse draw show and championship wrestling.
Sunday’s highlights include lawn tractor pulls and racing, cat show, a gospel sing and demolition derby.
