Curbside Christmas meal pick up for seniors a success

A take out Christmas turkey with all the trimmings meal for seniors was a resounding success.
Debbie MacDonald Moynes, of Prince Edward Community Care for Seniors, says there were 179 meals ordered and picked up between noon and 1pm Dec. 17th.
“Everyone was smiling as they waited patiently in their car for the contactless, curbside pick-up carried out flawlessly by a team of volunteers and staff member Teresa Shephard.”
With the outstanding response to this first-ever pick-up meal, Community Care is planning for a January 2021 edition.
“Long-time meal providers Bill & Marni Grieve of Wheelhouse & Occasions Catering (and The View Restaurant) have roast beef & yorkshire pudding on the menu for Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021.
