The 2026 rider roster includes Caroline Birch, Chris Graham, Craig Wilson, Curtis Morrow, Gregor Stuart, Hans Myderwyk, Jeff Myderwyk, Joe Myderwyk, John Daley, Mark Waterton, Neal Kadish, Rob Garden, Rob Legge and Vic Rocha.
Volunteer cyclists with Team Myderwyk, rooted in Prince Edward County, have surpassed raising $500,000 for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
The milestone comes as the team – now in its nineth year – prepares for the RIDE for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation on June 13–14, a two-day, 260-kilometre event that raises funds for cancer research and patient care at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Riders depart from Sherway Gardens in Toronto, pass through Hamilton, and finish in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Team Myderwyk was founded in 2017 by Hans, Jeff, and Joe Myderwyk in honour of their wife and mother, Lucy, during her battle with cancer. What began as a family effort has grown into a community-based team of committed riders from Prince Edward County and surrounding communities.
The team rides each year to honour loved ones affected by cancer, to raise awareness locally, and to support life-saving research. Team activities include community fundraising, sponsor outreach, jersey reveals, and group training rides that bring neighbours and local businesses together behind a common cause.
“Mom no longer greets us at the finish line—she lost her battle in 2019—but I continue to ride in her memory and for everyone who is still fighting,” states Jeff Myderwyk.
In 2026, the team has already raised $66,900 toward its $100,000 fundraising goal, pushing the group past the half-million mark.
