The King returned to Waupoos during Music Festival

Performances by the 2010 Elvis Collingwood Festival Grand Champion Tim E, the 2012 Early Years Collingwood Champion Brycen Katolinsky and the 2007 Inspirational Champion Anthony Von thrilled visitors and Elvis fans of all ages on Saturday afternoon. The afternoon’s down pour postponed the show briefly, but when the performers started to shake things up, the crowd danced on the lawn while others sang along to their favourites.
Elvis themed lunches were on the menu under the tent and the winery offered a Elvis De Chaunac wine in honour of the King.

About the Author:
Collingwood, Windsor, and Tweed pay large sums of money for the use of Elvis’ name and likeness for their Elvis festivals. I just got back from playing the Collingwood festival this past weekend. (no, I wasn’t an Elvis tribute artist) It is like nothing you’ve ever seen. Elvis Presley Enterprises can take their trademarking and licencing very seriously.
Wonder if they got permission from the rabbit before they named the hamlet Waupoos?? You can’t be too careful these days.
I wish them all the best of luck, but I hope they got permission from Elvis Presley Enterprises and Graceland to use Elvis’ name and likeness for their advertising.
