Lakeshsore beach posted unsafe for swimming

 

JULY 17: Sandbanks Parks states all its beaches are now safe for swimming.

JULY 15: Lakeshore beach at Sandbanks Provincial Park was posted Tuesday as unsafe for swimming.

Officials made the alert due to elevated bacteria counts.

The other two beaches – Outlet and Dunes – are posted as safe for swimming.

 

UPDATE JUNE 27TH: Sandbanks Provincial Park reports the Dunes and Outlet beaches have been cleared for swimming after new water samples were taken on Thursday.

JUNE 25: Sandbanks Provincial Park has stated the Dunes Beach and Outlet Beach are now posted as unsafe for swimming due to elevated levels of bacterial counts.

Park staff are monitoring conditions and postings are to be removed when test results show bacterial levels are acceptable.

Meanwhile, North Beach Provincial Park has stated there will be no campfires or open fires permitted.
