‘Dyakuyu’ for dinner and donation

Fran Renoy presents Hospice Prince Edward Executive Director Nancy Parks with a donation of $2,250 raised at a recent dinner with friends. Fran and her sister Maggie Creighton are of Ukrainian descent and so they decided to hold a fundraising Ukrainian dinner for their friends (Ukrainian and non-Ukrainian) with the proceeds being directed to the Residential Hospice project. “As there are a number of ethnic groups and individuals in the County, hopefully some of them will consider holding a fundraising lunch or dinner either for Hospice or a local charity of their choice,” said Fran, adding that enjoying a unique ethnic meal with friends and at the same time giving back to the community is a great way to have a fun time.
