Families were “Wild about Wildlife” in Wellington last Wedneday thanks to Quinte Conservation – and Union Gas, for a $1,500 boost supporting its education programs.
Quinte Conservation just finished its annual “Wild About Wildlife Family Nature Days” in Wellington, Madoc, Belleville and Napanee.
“Thanks to their contributions over the years, we have had the opportunity to further strengthen the education programs in our communities,” said Maya Navrot, education co-ordinator. “This means that our watershed initiatives are becoming stronger as youth are learning the importance of a healthy watershed.”
In Wellington, last Wednesday, families gathered to meet a falcon, learn about raptors, or hold a snake. They were also invited to learn about water bugs, meet other critters and invasive species.
