Festival picklers pack a peck of pickled favourites

The “picklers” from the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary’s Festival of Trees committee are already on the job.
“We’re meeting over the summer in the Curling Club – and many thanks to them for the use of their kitchen – to prepare our wares for this year’s festival of Trees (Nov. 28-30),” says Dorothy Speirs-Vincent.
In the photo, are volunteers, from left: Bev Thompson, Denise Linnett, Debbie Troop, Jamie Sermon, and Sharron Hewer. They have prepared, among other treats, pickled garlic scapes and Amaretto strawberry jam.
