Fire on Treasure Cove Road spread to three structures

The cause of a fire affecting multiple structures on Treasure Cove Road this afternoon is under investigation.
Prince Edward County Fire & Rescue attended the on Treasure Cove Road at approximately 1:30 pm on Friday, January 5.
Two structures were on fire when Prince Edward County Fire & Rescue arrived at about 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5.
and the blaze quickly spread to a third structure.
Strong winds drove the fire from a house to two cottages. Fire operations and tanker shuttle for water supply were hampered due to the location on a private laneway.
Fire crews from stations in Picton, Bloomfield and Milford had responded and crews from Wellington, Demorestville and Rossmore were placed on standby to support additional incidents.
The fire was brought under control just after 3 pm.
The loss is estimated at $3 million. There are no injuries reported.
