Greer Koutroulides’ Grade 9 Venture class students at Prince Edward Collegiate Institute delivered 300 items to the Picton food bank in time for Thanksgiving weekend. Food Bank manager Pat Romkey was thrilled with the initiative and thanked the students for their effort. Romkey also noted she was giving thanks for a random act of kindness in a local grocery store. She was picking up turkeys for distribution when an anonymous supporter purchased 10 turkeys for the food bank. “What a wonderful community we live in,” said Romkey.
