Food Drive for Pets

The Picton United Church County Food Bank not only helps families in need, it is now helping the entire family – including those with four legs – with its new Food Drive for Pets.
“We know what it means to live in the warmth and security of a family that loves us. Many have never known hunger,” said Pamela Armster. “We also know that during these difficult times many in the County are struggling and when faced with the prospect of giving up a cherished pet they can no longer care for, they are often devastated.”
That’s the reason behind the Food Drive for Pets, says Pat Romkey, food bank director.
“As you consider a donation to our Food Bank, please remember the animals,” she said. “Help us to help break the cycle of abandoned and surrendered pets. Help us to keep them at home where they belong.”
