Free parking extended to June 1

Free parking in downtown Picton will continue through to June 1.
Payment is not required at the parking stations to help reduce the risk of spreading the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) through the high-touch surfaces.
Parking is free along streets in the downtown core and in the Market Lane parking lot.
The two-hour maximum for street parking remains in effect. The time limit does not apply to parking spaces in Market Lane.
Parking enforcement during free parking continues for other infractions such as blocking fire routes, parking in an accessible space without a permit, and disobeying no-parking restrictions.
The overnight winter parking restrictions in the municipality ended at midnight on April 1.
