Full burn ban issued April 14 due to high wind forecast
Administrator | Apr 14, 2022 | Comments 0
Fire Chief Chad Brown has issued a total burn ban throughout the County of Prince Edward due to high wind conditions.
A total burn ban prohibits all outdoor burning, including brushfire, campfires, and burn barrels.
A special weather statement has been issued by Environment Canada warning of strong westerly winds up to 80 km/h this afternoon.
The Fire Chief evaluates weather and ground conditions to determine the necessity of a burn ban. When conditions improve, the ban will be updated.
Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue reminds residents that a burn permit is required for all open air burning.
