UPDATE: Burn ban lifted.
Fire Chief Scott Manlow has issued a total burn ban throughout the County of Prince Edward in response to high winds.
A total burn ban prohibits all outdoor burning, including brush fires, camp fires, and burn barrels.
The fire chief evaluates weather and ground conditions to determine the necessity of a burn ban. When conditions improve, the ban will be updated.
