Full closure of Skyway Bridge March 24-25

A full closure of the Bay of Quinte Skyway Bridge on County Road 49 is scheduled to take place from 9-11 pm on Tuesday, March 24 and from midnight-2 am on Wednesday, March 25.
During these time periods, the highway will be closed and no traffic will be permitted to pass over the bridge.
This closure is intended for the implementation of staging configuration for Segment B work which will consist of installing temporary concrete barriers, temporary energy attenuators, delineators, temporary pavement markings and activation of temporary traffic signals.
Aecon Construction and Materials Limited (“Aecon”) is rehabilitating the Bay of Quinte Skyway Bridge on Highway 49. The work started in 2018 and should be completed in 2024.
The bridge will be reduced to a single lane controlled by temporary traffic signals for the remainder of the 2020 construction season which is scheduled to be completed in late December.
