Gift basket fundraiser gains $3,150 for charity

Fran Renoy, representing the Loyalist Humane Society, draws the name Leonne Nault, of Picton, as the winning ticket for a $400 holiday gift basket. At Fran’s left is Don and Hartley, and to her right, Roy and Shannon, all of Portabella. Shannon sold $3,150 worth of tickets for this fundraiser for the Loyalist Humane Society and Community Living (each receives $1,575). Renoy thanked Portabella and the other local businesses who donated to the gift basket, including Rob and Kate Real Estate (Chestnut Park), Gilbert and Lighthall Marketplace, Huff Estates, Sandbanks Estates, The Grange of Prince Edward and Books & Company.
