H.J. McFarland residents to receive COVID-19 vaccine

Residents of H.J. McFarland Memorial Home are to receive the COVID-19 vaccination Thursday, Jan. 28.
A team from Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is to conduct the vaccine clinic at the municipality’s long-term care home. Extra staff are to be on hand to monitor residents after they receive the vaccine.
Residents are to receive the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine within the 21-day window outlined in public health guidelines.
The municipality reports vaccination of H.J. McFarland Memorial Home staff is ongoing. Nearly 30 staff members have already received the COVID-19 vaccine at a clinic set up at Kingston General Hospital.
