Historical Society adds third Camp Picton tour

Demand shown in two sold-out tours of Camp Picton have prompted the Prince Edward County Historical Society to hold a third tour – Friday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m.
The society hosted tours of the former World War Two training base at Camp Picton for those curious about the rich history of the unique facility.
In addition to the conducted tour of hangars, barracks and other buildings, refreshments ‘of the era’ were served and there were displays of Camp Picton-related memorabilia.
Space is limited so pre-registration is essential. Register at pehistsoc.wordpress.com . Historical Society members pay $10 each, non-members $25, with payment by cash or cheque only at the gate on the day.
