Honda helps celebrate 25 years of Motorcycle Experience

motorcycle-hatchWhistleStop Productions invited motorcycle fans to celebrate the Prince Edward County based television production company’s 25th year of  producing TSN’s Motorcycle Experience.

“Twenty-five years is a long time to be on the air. There aren’t a lot of Canadian TV shows that can say they’ve been around since 1989,” says show host Dave Hatch. The show, shot primarily in Prince Edward County, was host at the Hillier Creek Estates winery with Honda Canada on hand providing party favors. A TSN camera crew was also be on site throughout the day providing coverage to be broadcast early next spring on Motorcycle Experience.

Motorcycle Experience and Honda Canada hosted motorcycle demo rides while a meet and greet seminar, exclusive motorcycle displays, giveaways including a special edition 40th Anniversary Honda Goldwing tee shirt and an escorted County Back Roads Ride rounded out the day.

“Honda Canada has really stepped up to make it a real wing ding”, said Hatch. “This fall also marks the 40th anniversary of the Honda Goldwing here in Canada, so they thought, why not combine the two special occasions?”

Hatch said the Wings Over The County event is a tip of the hat to both the Honda Goldwing and neighbors at the 8 Wing Air Base in Trenton. Honda Canada will brought out their full up demo ride program to the winery so fans of the company’s new motorcycle line up could sample the very latest products Honda has on offer.

“I’m not quite sure where we’ll park all the motorcycles” said winery owner Kemp Stewart, “but we’re thrilled that they’ve chosen our winery as a site for this special celebration.” Stewart, a retired military officer, is an avid motorcycle fan and currently rides a Triumph Bonneville, but says several years ago he also owned a Goldwing. “I still love the Goldwing,” said Stewart “because they set the standard for touring machines and they’ve always been a great way to travel and see the country.”

“If you had told me back in 1989 when we first went on the air on TSN that we’d be doing this for 25 years, I’m not sure I would have believed it,” said Hatch. “It’s been an incredible ride.”
