CHEERS! to Gabby Ingram Kinnear, of Prince Edward County, who carried a flag in honor of Canadian Forces members honoured last week in Trenton for the fifth annual Highway of Heroes Ride.
More than 4,500 motorcycle riders from groups in Kingston and Whitby drove along the Highway of Heroes to Trenton to honour Canadian Forces members. A rally, parade of remembrance, speeches and music followed at Centennial Park.
Gabby was also honouring a relative, Sergeant Vaughan Ingram, 35, of Burgeo, Newfoundland and Labrador, who was killed in Afghanistan. He was with the 1st Battalion, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (Edmonton, Alberta) and died August 3, 2006 in a Taliban ambush at a schoolhouse in a village west of Kandahar.
