In a parting gift to the community following a five-year run at The Hubb Eatery in Bloomfield, Laura Borutski and Chef Elliot Reynolds presented donations to four local organizations.
The two have many experiences to remember in the County, from hosting regular customers to weddings and family dinners, to welcoming the Prime Minister and his wife.
As a farewell gift to the community, the couple presented donations to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Storehouse Food Bank in Wellington, The ROC and the Loyalist Humane Society.
Laura Borutski, of the Hubb presented $550 to Penny Rolinski, executive director of the PECMHF, to be directed to the Foundation’s current Picture of Health Campaign. The gift will assist with the purchase of medical tools such as scopes, defibrillators and heart monitoring equipment at Prince Edward County Memorial.
Every year, more than 47,000 people depend on the County hospital. Medical equipment is not paid for by the government. It is only through the partnership and generosity of donors that the PECM Hospital Foundation is able to provide caregivers with the tools they need.
