ITALIAN BURGERS WITH ASIAGO & BACON

1 pound ground beef
8 slices bacon (cooked)
1 small onion (chopped)
½ clove garlic (minced)
1 egg (beaten)
1 tablespoon ketchup
½ tbsp tomato paste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 ½ tbsps fresh Parmesan cheese (grated)
1 tbsp fresh Romano cheese (grated)
1 tsp fresh oregano (chopped)
1 tsp fresh basil (chopped)
salt and pepper to taste
½ cup asiago cheese (shredded)
4 Panini buns (cut)
– in a large bowl add ground beef, egg, onion, garlic, parmesan cheese, Romano cheese and fold together to mix
– in a small bowl add ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce and mix well
– add mix to meat blend and fold together
– add oregano, basil, salt, pepper and fold together
– form into patties
– place on BBQ pre-heated to medium-high
– sear both sides then reduce heat and cook fully
– place on Panini bun, top with 2 strips of cooked bacon
– garnish with asiago cheese
