Largest beef recall in history expands

The largest beef recall in Canadian history has expanded again as virtually all major retailers in Canada are affected.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has updated its warning list of beef products not to consume, sell or serve as they may be contaminated with E. coli. The public warning issued Sept. 30 has been updated to include additional products. Affected products are associated with Alberta’s XL Foods manufacturing dates of Aug. 24, 27, 28, 29 and Sept. 5. as the previously recalled ground beef products. The trace out from OL to secondary and tertiary distributors, manufacturers and retailers has resulted in a large number of affected products over a wide range of codes and dates.
