Celebrate the season with a last-minute County inspired gift that will support initiatives of the Prince Edward Learning Centre.
The ‘Christmas in the County’ holiday CD, produced by music promoter Dave Ullrich, and PELC’s Lori Farrington, brings together the eclectic styles of local musicians, under a cover designed by local artist Mile Murtanovski.
Farrington notes the CD features new artists that have not performed on the previous three fundraising CDs – including Annelise Noronha, a sound engineer from Wellington who wrote the song “All the Whos” in honour of her new home. She also notes Chris Bonham-Carter and Justin Rutledge are new to the CD this year. Young musicians Ella Jade and Siobhan Bodrug, are also featured.
The disc also includes GT Harris and the Gunslingers, Whoa Nellie, the Sophiasburgh All Stars, Telegraph Narrows and Farrington.
Ullrich has pledged to donate at least $2,000 to PELC with 100 per cent of the funds going to the centre to assist with programming that isn’t covered by base funding.
The CD is available online from zunior.com for $8.88. It is also available at Books & Company in Picton. Click the link to hear previews of the songs
