Local beaches are expected to reach capacity for day use before, or by noon, again Sunday.
Sandbanks Provincial Park tweeted it was experiencing high volume for day use before 10 a.m. for its parks, and for North Beach; and warned of long lines and closure.
The municipality announced yesterday it is limiting the hours for entrance to Wellington Rotary Public Beach on Sunday, July 19.
The beach will close at noon, unless crowded conditions require an earlier closing. Electronic signs posted on Highway 33, at the east and west ends of Wellington, will be activated to alert the public when the beach has reached capacity.
