Local real estate sales on the move

Real estate sales are on the move in the area as sales are up again for February.
The Quinte and District Association of Realtors notes 167 transactions (all property types) worth $59.2 million last month – compared to $55 million in sales in February last year.
Association president Cathy Polan said the average home price in February was $337,566 – $12,375 more than a year ago.
There were also more listings to see last month at 750 – about 40 per cent more than last February.
“With the recent announcement of the retail giant Costco confirmed as coming to Belleville, anticipated to open in 2020, now may be a great time to get involved in local real estate,” said Polan.
