Milford fire under investigation

A garage and workshop fire on Chapman Crescent in Milford last Wednesday remains under investigation by the Prince Edward County Fire Department. A neighbour called in the blaze at about 9 a.m. Wednesday. The South Marysburgh Hall was first to respond and the Hallowell Department was called in to assist and firefighters had the fire under control within an hour but remained on the scene for much of the day. Damage is estimated between $150,000 to $200,000 as the building contained a 2001 Case tractor with front end loader and many tools. Photo contributed.
