Good for you and your wife. Somewhat relieving,

  2. Dennis Fox says:

Hey Mark – thank you! Both my wife and I just tried it again and both of us now have appointments on the 23rd! Don’t ask me – I don’t get it either!

  3. Mark says:

Hmmm.I went on the site at 11am and there were 43 open spots June 22 at the Belleville Wellness Centre. Booked my 2nd vaccine for next Tuesday and it automatically cancelled my original 2nd dose appt on August 12.

  4. Dennis Fox says:

Is the system working??? Once again, following the ministry advice for advance second dose bookings – I got on the the site right at 8am today -as they recommended, then waited an hour in the queue – only to be told that there are no appointments times available in the entire HPE health region!

People are being encouraged to register for the vaccine, but I’m not sure if the system is working – I read that on Saturday only 800 vaccines were administered in HPE and that only 10% of the population are fully vaccinated. At this rate it wont be until Christmas when we can call it safe. I don’t think this is the way it was suppose to be. Does anyone know why it is so slow out here?

  5. Dennis Fox says:

Both my wife and I spent some time online today, trying to book our second dose. I had AstraZeneca and have to wait a minimum of 12 weeks – meaning I can’t get my second shot until late July. Not great – I’ll live with it. My wife spent almost 1 1/2 hrs. online only to be told that the closest vaccine site for her would be in Cobourg – nothing was available in HPEC! Really?? Before she had the chance to think about it and enter yes – the site had cleared and now she has to restart again.

Surely our system in PEC is better than this – can anyone provide info – is this typical of what is happening out here? My question is – what would a person do if they didn’t drive – Cobourg would be entirely impossible.?
