More watermain repairs in Wellington

DEC. 26: Emergency watermain repairs continue Friday, Dec. 27 at the intersection of Niles and Maple streets in Wellington.

Repairs are to begin at 8 a.m., with an expected completion time of 5 p.m.

Maple Street and Niles Street intersection entrances may be reduced to one lane for the duration of repairs.

DEC. 23: The Water and Wastewater Department is to complete watermain repairs Tuesday, Dec. 24 on Wellington Main Street between Wharf Street and Maple streets and on Niles Street between Lake Breeze Court and Maple Street.

Work is set to begin at 7 a.m. with an expected completion time of 5 pm

Customers in that work area may experience reduced water pressure overnight until the repair is complete.

Traffic may be reduced to one lane during the repairs. Traffic control will be in place.

Pedestrians and motorists are asked to approach the site with caution or avoid the construction area if possible.

These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents on Wellington Main Street between Wharf Street and Maple Street may experience a temporary loss of water service, intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water while construction is taking place.
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once repairs are complete and water service is restored.
