Museums want to share your grandmother’s recipes

Museums of Prince Edward County is looking for generations-old County recipes. The pick of the crop are to be featured in a Museums of PEC cook book.
Organizer Jennifer Lyons, head curator hopes residents will also share the story behind the recipes.
“For instance, if the recipe belonged to your “Great-Granny”, we would love if you could share a scan or copy of her photograph or the original recipe card, etc.,” she said. “Recipes must be specific to Prince Edward County, and we are particularly interested in recipes featuring the following ingredients:
• Maple syrup
• Hops
• Barley
• Cheese
• Apples
• Cherries
• Peaches
• Pears
• Plums
• Cherries
• Raspberries
• Strawberries
• Blueberries
• Tomatoes
• Asparagus
• Peas
• Green/Yellow Beans
• Corn
• Pumpkin
• Mushrooms
• Garlic
• Fresh water fish (especially Walleye/Pickerel)
• Meat & poultry
