Quick action from Prince Edward County firefighters kept damage to a landmark Bloomfield home at a minimum, around lunch time Sunday.
Smouldering behind siding and smoke was reported at the 292 Main Street home of Loyalist Landing, known far and wide as the delightful bed and breakfast that hosts Rob and Gillian Leek regularly flys flags meaningful to guests, or otherwise of interest. There was no structural damage to the home.
Police helped traffic to move around the scene, and there were no reports of injuries.
