The number of listings is low but real estate dollar sales amounts increased last month – up 21 per cent for all property types and 27.7 per cent for residential sales over January in 2016.
Cathy Polan, president Quinte District Association of Realtors, reports active residential listings were down 35.1 per cent from a year ago with 636 listings, compared to 980 in 2016.
“The Quinte area is starting off the new year with healthy sales, reflected both in total umber of units sold, coming in with 176 and a dollar amount of $45,954,631,” said Polan.
The sellers’ market continues with fewer properties available.
