OPP break up gathering, investigate collision over long weekend

Prince Edward County Detachment OPP report breaking up one larger than allowed gathering over the long weekend; a collision involving an ATV and checks on waterways.
Saturday, the OPP received a report of a gathering at an address on Scotts Mill Road. Officers arrived and located approximately 12 people. Officers educated the parties on the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act and the individuals left the location.
Just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday, OPP responded with Hastings-Quinte EMS and Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue to a multiple vehicle collision on Loyalist Parkway near Wellington. Two vehicles and an ATV were involved. One person was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
Officers were also on the waterways promoting safe boating and checking for safety equipment. As a result of a vessel check, officers arrested a 39-year-old male from Brighton who was wanted on a warrant and transported him directly to a custody facility.
