OPP determine fire not suspicious

DEC. 30 – Investigation has determined that the cause of the fire is not suspicious.
DEC. 29 – Police in Prince Edward County are asking for the public’s help in their investigation into a fire that destroyed a detached garage in Ameliasburgh early this morning.
On Dec. 29 at 2:08 a.m., officers responded to the fire in the detached garage at a Loyalist Parkway property.
Members of the Prince Edward OPP detachment, the OPP Forensic Identification Unit (FIU) and the Fire Department are continuing their investigation to determine the cause.
They ask anyone with information about the fire to call the Prince Edward County OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS)
