Partial burn ban in effect
Administrator | Apr 01, 2019 | Comments 0
A partial ban has been put into effect due to wind gusts of 39km/h, expected to be increasing up to and including this evening.
This means only burn barrels with screened tops or small campfires are permitted.
The wind is drying grass and leaves and, even though the ground below is wet, there is a potential for run-away grass fires.
Once the winds die down, Fire Chief Scott Manlow will lift the ban.
