Party faithful welcomes Prime Minister to Belleville

The area’s Conservative party faithful created a sea of blue as they packed the lobby of the Anderson Farm Equipment building in Belleville Friday afternoon to witness Prime Minister Stephen Harper lend his support to Bay of Quinte candidate Jodie Jenkins.
Harper, fresh from the federal election’s first leaders’ debate held in Toronto Thursday evening, spoke for almost 20 minutes about the party and its plans.
“My friends, we are all here because we believe in our policies, in our party and in our people, but above all else we are here for Canada…the best country in the world…” he said.
“Choices matter and there isn’t a bigger choice, a choice more consequential for Canadians, than which party, which team, which leader Canadians will choose to protect our economy, the financial security of our families, the national security of our country and to keep this the best country in the world. It’s a choice we must get right and that choice has been and remains, a strong, stable national majority government.”
Harper predictably poked at rivals Justin Trudeau and Tom Mulcair and their Liberal and New Democratic ideas.
“It’s a choice about which team has the leadership and proven experience to keep Canadians safe and keep our economy prosperous and strong,” he said. “It isn’t Justin Trudeau – he’s just not ready. Somebody said that. And it’s not Mr. Mulcair of the NDP whose high tax, high spending, high-deficit ideology would wreck our economy.”
He approved of Jodie Jenkins.
“Jodie is the right man to be carrying your voice to Ottawa and I know that you will do everything it takes to make Jodie Jenkins the next member of parliament for Bay of Quinte,” Harper said.
Current MP Daryl Kramp will be running in the new Hastings Lennox and Addington riding.
Also running to become the first Bay of Quinte representative for Prince Edward County, Belleville below Hwy 401 and Quinte West are Liberal Neil Ellis and NDP Terry Cassidy.
The 2015 election campaign, at 11 weeks, is among the longest – and potentially the most expensive – in Canadian history. Election day is Oct. 19.
Harper and the party applauded honoured MP Rick Norlock, (far right, waving) who is retiring as Northumberland Quinte West MP. The applause was a bit too loud for the young lad behind Harper, covering his ears.
“On Oct. 19 Canadians will make a crucial choice,” said Bay of Quinte candidate Jodie Jenkins. “We will be picking somebody to make the big decisions for Canada. I don’t think there’s been a time in this generation where it hasn’t mattered more more who’s sitting in the Prime Minister’s desk,” he said.

Little kids now reading Harper’s office e-mails on TV tonight. How do you better explain a scandal.
Why has our political system become so pathetic? There was a time when if the PM’s office orchestrated such a deceitful scheme as the Duffy saga they would be toast instead of advertising what they cannot do for us!
I cannot even imagine Jodie Jenkins representing our riding. He could manage nothing on Belleville council other than bring attention to himself. Of course since Harper runs everything except (payoffs to Senators lol) does it matter.
Who appointed Duffy? Harper. Why did he do that? For political fundraising gain. Why did he pay him off? Because he bacame a liability. Why was it done secretly? To deceive Canadians.
Harper has run massive deficits since in power. Now his office have deceived the public. Two big blows in my book. Trudeau is just not ready to allow Harper to continue to bring us down.
As we ponder another election and who should we vote for remember this. Every party in the prov. election said that the Liberals had ruined Ont. which they had, the Liberals lied about everything, which they did. Every one said the Liberals in Ont were done. Well guess what. The liberals won with a majority. Why you ask, because what else do you have to choose from. Just like we have here for local candidates and also their leaders for the up coming federal election
I do not support any party I think every party when in power do what they want not what they promise and when not in power pick apart what the party in power does but they would do the same thing if they were in power.
So it would not surprise me to see Harper back in.
After the NDP started Ont on the down hill slide with Rae they have no chance The Liberals with Justin, with his rich kids smirk and hum drum speaking ability no chance. Now if his father was running maybe.

So we know now that as of May 14th Stevie was aware of the payout and allowed the deception to the Canadian public and our Parliament. Teflon is starting to wear.
Harper micro manages absolutely everything from the PMO’s office but in this instance he had no knowledge. Ok!
Harper’s office cooked up a scheme to payoff Duffy’s expenses and keep it quiet from the public. That much is clear. Stay tuned.

A PM who thinks he does not need to meet with provincial Premiers. He is above that. The Premiers are now rallying against Stevie.
Funny how all these Liberal Party liberals and NDP liberals complain about the Conservative Government but don’t get their act together to stop splitting the vote so the Conservatives keep winning with 39 percent of the popular vote.

The Prime Minister of Canada. He hasn’t had a meeting with The Provincial Premiers as a group since 2009! Some leader he is. And he says Trudeau isn’t ready? Ha!. BTW, never set foot in Alberta during the last election until he went “home” to vote for himself on election day. Arrogant beyond belief.

I think it’s safe to say this will be the Hunt for Red October in Quinte. These conservatives wore out their welcome many years ago. It’s time to return Canada back to a RESPECTED leader on the world stage.
