The Prince Edward Federation of Agriculture (PEFA) presented its annual post-secondary $500 bursary to Griffin McFaul, who is completing his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at the University of Guelph.
The bursary is presented annually to students from Prince Edward County who are involved in the agricultural industry.
McFaul keeps busy working on his family’s grain farm, operating a sweet corn business in the summer, and by working at neighbouring Willowlee Sod Farms and Campbell’s Orchards.
While away at school, he enjoys intermural sports and being involved in OAC events. Griffin is excited about the future of agriculture and looks forward to helping feed a growing world population.
PEFA is the local branch of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, representing over 300 farm families in Prince Edward County. PEFA acts for the long term viability of agriculture and agribusiness in PEC.
