Prince Edward County Construction Association members and friends supported the furthering of education during a golf tournament at the Picton Golf and Country Club last week.
More than 90 golfers and guests enjoyed a day on the 18-hole course – some vying for prizes, others just for fun and laughs – and everybody pitching in for the presentation of $750 each to Alec Whalen and Brian Oliphant, as bursaries to help them further their studies in post-secondary education.
The tournament’s overall winners Jesse Morkis, Mike Goodman, John Henry MacDonald and Chris Perry retained their championship from last year. Goodman was also the putting winner. Henry MacDonald also won the longest drive and Perry won the closest to the pin.
Carole Andrews was the women’s drive winner. Jeff Robson won the raffle for a golf bag and clubs.
